Zaino History
Thank you for visiting the "Battle of the Arts" site, home to the "Battle of Florida" National Martial Arts Championships, Florida Palm Coast Karate Events "FPCKE" and National Promoters League "NPL" state and world tournament circuits, Team Americas "World Martial Arts Show Team", Zaino's Martial Arts Gym, and "Oriental Express" online Martial Arts Store.
Danny, a former member of the US Army Karate Team holds an 8th degree Black Belt in Japanese / Okinawan GoJu-Ryu. He is also a former Military and Florida Police Officer and in 1984 won the title of “Kumite Champion” at the Police Olympics in Florida. In 1997 he developed his "Art of the Pure Warrior Sports Tonfa" for sports martial arts competition. Theresa holds a 6th degree Black Belt in Japanese / Okinawan GoJu-Ryu and is a championship competitor in her own rights. Together they developed their “Florida Palm Coast Karate Events” tournament circuit in 1988 and in 2000 produced their Team Americas "World Martial Arts Show Team" formerly known as "National Team Pepsi".

Today the Zaino's are involved in two independent documentary/reality films. "Born to Compete" - the movie which is the story of a unique martial arts family who face head-on all the trials and tribulations of competing and performing in the martial arts industry today and "Warriors Quest" - modern day masters unleashed which is a tribute to the modern masters of the ancient arts, their beauty, lethal potential, history and present status. Both films are produced by Danny Zaino and directed by Richard Hackworth. Much of the filming will be done at promotional seminars held at various schools and events throughout the country. Team Americas
Team Americas originated as "National Team Pepsi" in the year 2000 and for the past 9 years has traveled extensively competing and performing around the state of Florida and on a National level . They have become the featured entertainment at some of the World's top martial arts hall of fame events and the demand for their exciting performances grows with each year. Team members include head coaches Danny & Theresa Zaino's own three talented children, Tony, Joey, and Dominique Zaino who are all Nationally and World ranked martial arts competitors. Recognized for their unique talent the team has been awarded "Performance Team of the Year" for the past Five years along with Danny & Theresa Zaino receiving an award for "Coaches of the Year". Besides their busy Team Americas schedule Danny & Theresa also promote their "Battle of Florida" a Nationally ranked Karate event sponsored by The Action Radio Network, The World Martial Arts Magazine, Action Star Media, Legacy Title Belts & Awards, and FightZone Magazine & TV. The Zaino's have been promoting their "Battle of Florida" event along with their "Florida Palm Coast Karate Events" tournament circuit for 2 decades and have been awarded Hall of Fame "Promoters of the Year" 7 times since 1994.

Zaino Family Host Online Radio Shows
The Zaino's are also the hosts of a variety of online radio shows on Martial Arts Entertainment Radio Network and on the Action Radio Network celebrating its 12th anniversary this year. Danny and Theresa are the host of " The Danny & Theresa Zaino's Martial Arts Radio Hour" which features special guest interviews and reports on the people and events of the Sport Karate scene in the USA and around the world today. Dominique Zaino is the host of her own show "The Dominique Zaino Show" where she discusses various youth related topics and interviews celebrity guests from a youths perspective. "Sports Talk" is hosted by Tony & Joey Zaino where you can listen as they chat with friends and colleagues on National and team sports. New shows added to this years season include "The FightZone Show" featuring FightZone Magazine & TV's own Nancy Evans as she gets "Up Close & Personal" with your favorite MMA, Boxing, and Kick Boxing Celebrities, "The Italian Family Cooking Show" with the Zaino's where you will learn step by step on how to make their traditional little Italy third generation Italian family recipes, and "Restaurant Talk" a special monthly show interviewing restaurant and cooking experts.
